Paris Hilton wants to duet with Sir Paul McCartney.

The hotel heiress- whose debut album 'Paris' failed to set the charts alight when it was released in 2006- cornered the Beatles legend at the Grammy Awards after-show party (08.02.09) and proposed a musical collaboration.

According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, Paris was reportedly overheard saying: "I'd love to do a duet with you. I'm a singer too and have had an album out." Paul - who has notched up more UK number one singles than any artist in history - politely told 'The Simple Life' star he would consider her offer.

An onlooker said: "Sir Paul was minding his own business when Paris traipsed right up to him and introduced herself. He looked bemused, smiled and nodded- then stumbled out that he'd have to check his schedule. I don't think we'll be hearing the duet any time soon."

After posing her musical suggestion to the 66-year-old artist, Paris went on to compliment him on his hair. She said: "It's just like in The Beatles. It's so cute."

London, January 29 : Hotel heiress Paris Hilton reportedly did not seem to be in a happy mood while on a recent trip from Moscow to London, say reports.

Sources have revealed that she remained "quiet and fuss-free" during the four-hour BMI flight, but became visibly anxious upon touching down at Heathrow.

"She was all set to leave the plane but then business class travellers were told they would have to leave via the rear exit due to some sort of problems. She didn't look best pleased," the Daily Express quoted a source as saying.

Things even worsened when two guys she thought were waving to her were actually found to be talking about a little known television star behind her.

"`Hey, it's you, you off the TV!" the guys said, according to the source.

"Paris was beaming until it became apparent they were talking about the chap behind her, a little known TV presenter called Martyn Andrews, who hosts the shows Russia Today and Euro News," the source added. (ANI)

In an interview with Europe’s Fabulous Magazine this month, the heiress, who recently visited the UK in search of a British best friend, reveals that she shares many similarities with the Academy Award-winning actress.

“I love Angelina Jolie. She’s strong but gorgeous and uses her fame for good to make a big difference in the world,” she said. “That’s a great quality. I’d have a lot in common with her.”

When asked what qualities she looked for in a potential pal, Paris replied: “Someone I can trust. And they have to be compassionate, caring and fun.”

“When I was young, my mom or sister used to have to point out if someone was using me to make a name for themselves - you know, linking arms with me on the red carpet and trying to get in every picture. But now I can see for myself when someone is just hungry for attention.”

The women, who are said to have earned a six figure sum for helping ring in the New Year at a party in Sydney, flew down to the Gold Coast to attend the Summerfieldayze 2009 musical festival this weekend.

Paris Hilton is reportedly dating George Clooney.

The socialite fuelled speculation of a romance after recently enjoying an "intimate" evening with the 'Burn After Reading' star at the Whiskey Bar at the Sunset Marquis hotel in Hollywood, according to Life and Style Weekly magazine.

A source said: "Paris and George sat and talked together for ages. They didn't seem to be aware of anyone else in the room."

The following evening, Paris, 27, was seen sitting beside 47-year-old George at a dinner at a Hollywood restaurant, with other guests including director Ridley Scott and Brittany Flickinger, winner of 'Paris Hilton's My New BFF' show.

Meanwhile, Paris reportedly caused shock in Australia because of her "psycho shopping".

The 'House of Wax' star, who was in the country for a New Year's Eve party in Sydney, stunned shoppers by spending almost $100 a minute at boutique Wayne Cooper, with critics branding the 40-minute spree "obscene".

However, Paris - who is also visiting hospitals to meet sick children while in the country - insisted she was boosting the economy with her extravagance.

She claimed: "I'm in Australia, I think it's important to help out, you know, the economy out here, everywhere in the world."

Paris was also defended by Australian Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard, who said: "I'm obviously not as well practiced at shopping as Ms. Hilton is but Australia is a great place to do it."

Luckily, though, the insider says the thief was caught on tape. “Paris has surveillance cameras set up in every room,” says the insider, who’s seen the tapes. “The thief was wearing a black hoody and knew exactly where to go, like he’s been there before.”

Taking no risks, “Paris has upped her security team to three 24-hour bodyguards, and she has someone on her property at all times,” adds the insider. “Detectives are doing a huge investigation.”

Paris Hilton and Benji Madden may have broken up, but they're still close friends, she said Friday.

"You know, I love him. He's such an amazing man and he's my best friend and he's been so great to me and so loyal," Hilton said Friday on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS F.M. radio show. "He's an incredible person. We'll always be very close. We'll see what happens in the future. I'm still in love with him."

Asked what happened, Hilton cited busy work schedules and lots of travel as the reason behind their split.

"We're both working so much," she told Seacrest. "There are all these reports saying that I dumped Benji. That's not true. This was a decision we made together as two adults."

Still, Hilton emphasizes that the door hasn't completely shut on their romantic relationship. "Right now we are just taking a break," she says. "We are really good friends. We're really close."

Shooting down questions of infidelity, she says neither of them cheated, and her recent meeting with ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos was nothing more than a chance encounter and a "quick conversation" between friends.

As for Madden, she says, "He's doing great. We talk every day. We see each other."
Hilton, who sounded in low spirits while talking to Seacrest, added that dating other people "is the last thing on my mind."

The former Simple Life star certainly hasn't been partying up a storm.

On Wednesday – the day her break-up was confirmed – she had a low-key dinner before making an appearance at Hollywood's Crown Bar.

"Hilton looked distraught and completely lonesome," said an eyewitness, adding that the heiress spent most of the night talking and texting on her phone. "She wasn't her usual prim and proper self."
